Jef is a particular flavor of person and I like it. I was able to sit him down for a very short period of time and chat with him about business. It was obvious we were only just scratching the surface.
Jef Holbrook is the Director of the Springer Institute (ComedyU) and I thought it would be advantageous to explore his role, as well as many others, when working on the many projects down at the Springer Opera House. One particular subject came to mind and it stemmed from being a part of Leadership Columbus. Jef brought his teachings to our Arts and Culture day by providing us an example of his ComedyU workshop where he teaches ‘life skills through stage skills’. It was an amazing moment to watch the temperament of the room go from woozy to excited just after a few opening skits from other members of the group.
Here I sit and talk with Jef and get an amazing perspective about workplace culture, the many facets of the Springer, Polar Studios (which he runs) and the recent #iTweeted2012 show. Also, a shout out to No Shame Theater.
I love talking. I just wish I was better at it. As an entrepreneur, I dig anything related to community building. This includes online branding, web design and development, social media and analytics. I have a passion for family, blogging, music and consuming high levels of knowledge… Chat me up!
